Feb 6, 2007 evening

Too many good things to wait until tomorrow. Leslie now has only 1 chest tube left. The ICU staff is in the process of weaning her off the ventilator and waking her up from sedation. She is still getting plenty of pain medicine because of her extensive injuries. She's also now initiating all her breaths and is just on assist mode which is also good. She is opening her eyes to the sound of her beloved's voice (Ray), but not able to or wanting to follow simple commands (she has a mind of her own :) - right?) more manana...........
