alice's comment on feb 2
mom had an operation 2 days ago to close her stomach. it was successful but wiped her out. she now has pnemonia which the doctors said is normal and they started treating her for it immediatley. she is doing better today, is off her blood pressure medication. her peep is at 8 and her temperature is down. her swelling is also going down. she is feeling the love.

I'm a friend of Alice's from UCSB. Though we haven't met, I know you have a wonderful, considerate daughter who is a very good friend. I'm so sorry about your accident, and want you to know we're thinking about you in Chile (I'm studying there).
